Cocentra combines the very best people, knowledge and skills from the public and private sectors. Many of Cocentra's employees and Excellence Chain consultants have worked as board directors in blue chip commercial organisations or held directorships or other senior posts in the public sector. We win a wide variety of work which includes long term contracts often won through a tender process. Clients include the DfES and a range of Local Education Authorities. Of particular note is the work we undertake for the DfES to support the School Improvement Adviser (SIA) initiative.

Our SIA work involves us in providing a support agency to over 130 LEAs as they work to improve standards in the country’s 650 or so secondary schools facing challenging circumstances. Our support involves the identification and dissemination of good LEA practice in raising standards, bringing SIAs together to network, problem solve and share ideas, and designing specialised training for LEA staff involved in this vital job.
