- The overall clarity and evaluative nature
- Judgements (match to evidence)
- Reflection of stakeholders' views (where appropriate)
- Impact
- Coverage
- Evidence (direct or referred to)
- Actions and their impact
CRITIQUING YOUR SEF - On-line and in person This service is carried out in the same way as the on-line support, but includes a one day visit from an experienced consultant to: - give feedback on the findings and recommendations
- give assistance in any re-writing
- discuss any future actions
This can be undertaken with the headteacher plus senior managers and/or governors where required. Inspection Review PRE INSPECTION MOT This enables you to be secure in knowing that you are well prepared for inspection. It is beneficial to schools who are close to inspection as well as those in the middle of a cycle. It includes:
- Analysis of your SEF, scrutiny of your School Profile, RAISE, School Improvement Plan and previous Inspection Report
- One day in school discussing systems and processes with leaders and managers
- Verbal feedback on the day
- A written report
MOCK INSPECTION
Be ready for the real thing with confidence This provides you with the opportunity for an inspection ‘dry run' without the anxiety created by the 'real thing'. In addition to the activities within the Pre Inspection MOT this process also includes a pre inspection briefing and lesson observations - all the processes involved in an Ofsted Inspection. At the end of the visit there will be verbal feedback followed by a written report.
Critically, key benefits include:
- Validation of your school's review processes
- External validation of your judgements about the quality of learning and teaching
- Developing staff confidence through raised awareness and understanding of the inspection process
